The au-series provides high-end workstation performance at PC prices. It uses PowerStorm graphics that provide the widest range of solutions in the industry -- from fast, inexpensive 2D windowing to accelerated 3D solids modeling with texture mapping support. The au-series system is preloaded with the Digital UNIX operating system.

  • 433 MHz, 500MHz, or 600MHz Alpha (single) Pyxis chipset
  • Choice of graphics options: PowerStorm 3D30, 4D20T, 4D51T, and 4D60T
  • 3 DIMM sockets ECC SDRAM expandable up to 1.5GB
  • 4 GB Ultra-Wide SCSI standard on most systems; 2/4/9 GB Ultra-Wide SCSI options
  • 2 64-bit PCI and 3 PCI/ISA shared
  • supports Tru64 UNIX, OpenVMS, and Windows NT
